Railfreight Class 60 No. 60084 on the second leg of its journey from Swinden Quarry to Hull Dairycoats loaded stone at the site of the former Skipton South Junction on 22nd April 1993 having runround in Skipton Down Sidings. A short while previously it had passed over the bridge which carries the remains of the Skipton-Ilkley Branch over the Mainline south of Skipton Station. South Junction Signal Box was at this location and in steam days was a very busy place with freight trains stopping for C&W Examinations and water on both the Up and Down Loops.
