The first of the refurbished Castle HST sets, comprising HST power car No. 43093 Old Oak Common HST Depot 1976-2018 + 49101 (ex-44055), 48111 (ex-42093), 48102 (ex-42177), 48101 (ex-42168) + HST power car No. 43016, commenced station operation testing on 19th March 2018 and is seen here, crossing St. Germans Viaduct, with the return run, the 15:02 Truro to Exeter St. Davids. The train was supposed to run through to Penzance, but planned engineering work meant the section west of Truro was closed between 19th and 22nd March.
