This view of the former Manx Northern Railway six-wheeled Third Class Brake carriage shows the cylinder containing the brake wheel operated by the guard from inside the end compartment. When not required for braking, the wheel could be sealed and the compartment used by passengers. Photograph taken on 30th October 2021.
