EE Type 1s Nos. 8031 and 8053 (later Class 20s Nos. 20031 and 20053) passing Hatfield Colliery exchange sidings with a short eastbound coal train on 14th August 1973. No. 8031 was originally allocated to the Scottish Region, hence the fitting for a tablet catcher beneath the cab window.
