Looking and sounding distinctly unhealthy, Colas Class 60 No. 60087 heads past the ex Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway signalbox at Hebden Bridge on 23rd February 2023 with the 09.48 Drax - Liverpool Biomass Terminal empty biomass hoppers. The locomotive came to a stand a few minutes later having failed, blocking the westbound Calder Valley route. Classmate No. 60021 Penyghent was scrambled from Tuebrook Sidiings to assist and following a two hour delay was able to drag No. 60087 and its train onward to Liverpool, eventually arriving 200 minutes behind schedule.
