At the Didcot Railway Centre 'Castle Event' on 4th March 2023, four GWR Castle Class locomotives were displayed, in the form of GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 4079 'Pendennis Castle', built 1923 and in steam, double chimney fitted No. 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe', resident No. 5051 'Drysllwyn Castle' and No. 7029 'Clun Castle'. Both Nos. 5043 and 7029 arrived at Didcot on a charter from Birmingham.
