During the first week March 2023, the Uttoxeter - Stoke section of line has been closed for repairs and this has required rail support with rail, sleepers and ballast, hence on 6th March an engineers train from Toton to Blythe Bridge was noted at Willington hauled by Class 66/6, No. 66617 accelerating away from North Staffs Jct.
