The original 'Brush type 4' No. D1500, carrying the name 'Star of the East', stands at Worksop Depot Open Day on 1st September 1991. The loco entered traffic at Finsbury Park on 28th September 1962, spending most of it's time on the Eastern Region. Renumbered as 47401 in 1973, it remained in service until 5th June 1992 being withdrawn from Immingham depot. Now preserved, it resides at the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley.
