On 6th March 1980, Class 438 (4TC) No. 425 leads an 8TC/4REP formation into Bournemouth. The twelve car train is a London Waterloo to Weymouth fast service. At Bournemouth, a Class 33/1 will take the leading set to Weymouth while the remaining units shunt to the Middle Sidings.
