To replace the bottleneck of Ash level crossing, a new A323 road bridge was officially opened to traffic on 8th February 2025. Viewed from the new bridge GWR Class 165 No. 165106 heads away from Ash station working 14.24 Reading to Guildford service on 12th February 2025.
