A rare and soon to disappear scene at Lady Anne Batley. The signalbox known as Lady Anne Crossing closed in 2023 and is earmarked to be demolished in early March when the line from Leeds to Ravensthorpe is closed for three weeks on weekdays in connection with the Trans Pennine Upgrade. In addition during that time electrification works are to be completed from Leeds as far as Morley alongside track work improvements. In this scene also the very rare sight of a freight working at this location as Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66523 hauls a short rake of empty flat wagons from Hunslet Yard Leeds to Basford Hall Yard Crewe on 19th February 2025.
