Built in 1889 LIVINSTON THOMPSON was the forerunner of all subsequent double fairlie locos built by the Ffestiniog Railway. Together with 0-4-0 PRINCE it saw service soon after the restoration of services on the Ffestiniog Railway from 1955 and at various times carried the name TALIESIN and EARL OF MERIONETH. After retiring in 1990 it has been exhibited at NRM York as seen on 10th March 2025.
