With the news dominated by the government actions on the Scunthorpe Steel works where rails for track are made, there is now more interest in the regular 10:18 Scunthorpe to Eastleigh working with new rails, seen passing Catholme on 14th April 2025 hauled by GBRf Class 66/3 No. 66301 'Drax Power station 50', in special gold livery with 'Drax 50 Years of Moving Forward' branding. It should be noted that Network Rail has a substantial stock of rail should there be a supply issue from Scunthorpe.
