On 10th October 1981, the Southern Electric Group and Railway Correspondence and Travel Society ran the 'Hants and Dorset' railtour from London Waterloo to a number of sidings in the Portsmouth and Southampton area. here, 3H (later Class 205) units Nos. 1110 and 1130 leave the Esso terminal at Hamble and rejoin the Fareham to Southampton line at Hamble ground frame.
