Incredibly Bank Halls Jubilees used to pass through here on the double track Main Line from Liverpool Exchange to Preston on through Scottish Expresses. Now Merseyrail terminate at the buffer stop in front of the train shown here and another buffer stop in the opposite direction sees a single car Class 153 ply to and from Preston on average every 90 minutes so Liverpool passengers have no through service to Scotland and no doubt they go by road. Class 507 No. 507030 terminates at Ormskirk on 11.55 from Liverpool Central on 23rd November 2010.
