The overhaul of A4 Class Pacific No. 60009 was completed with a loaded test run over the Carnforth circuit on 18 July 2012 with rear end support from Class 57 No. 57006. The test train was caught powering up the gradient through Langho on the outskirts of Blackburn where a brief stop was made before continuing on to Preston.
