On a cold and wet 15th May 2013, ex LNER Gresley A4 Pacific No. 60009 'Union of South Africa', storms away from Shildon Co. Durham with 1Z75, Day 7 of The Cathedrals Explorer Railtour. The Railtour had been subject to revision and Day 7 was no exception, with 60009 hauling the Railtour from Stanhope, at the western end of the Weardale Railway, to Tees Yard, where the steam locomotive was replaced by DB Schenker Class 66 diesel locomotive No. 66016 for the journey around the Durham Coast to Newcastle and back to Tees Yard, whereupon 60009 was re-attached and hauled the train to Battersby.
