On the 26th July 2025, a Trans Pennine Express Class 397, No. 397009, arrives at Carlisle Citadel station with the 14.04 Trans Pennine Express service from Manchester Airport to Edinburgh Waverley.
To the left, in platform 5, is a Northern Class 158, No. 158842, which is about to depart with the 16.22 service from Carlisle to Chathill.
Beyond that in platform 6 is another Northern Class 158, No. 158752, working the 16.18 from Carlisle to Skipton, which was partially cancelled from Skipton to Leeds, due to a points failure.
