SBB Historics Krokodil Ce 6/8 No. 14305 (SLM/MFO 1925) takes a train of period coaches from Olten to Basel over Ruemlingen viaduct on the Old Hauenstein Line on 28th August 2021. With the English Thomas Brassey as contractor, this first line across the Jura had gradients of 1-in-38 leading to a summit tunnel of 2495M, it opened in 1858. When the 8143M Hauenstein Base Tunnel opened in 1916 this difficult main line became a bye-way.
