100 miles north of Vienna, at Gmuend on the Czech border, is them gauge Waldviertelbahn. Steam trains hauled by an Engerth 0-8+4 locomotive run on 1st and 3rd weekends, on others days historic diesel traction is used. Here NOVOG V12 (SGP Floridsdorf, 1962) waits at Litschau with the afternoon train to Gmuend.
