LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 No. 45190 leaves Loughborough Central station on 19th May 1966 with a semi-fast London Marylebone to Nottingham Victoria service. No. 45190 was transferred from Colwick to Heaton Mersey Depot a few weeks after this photo was taken, displacing LMS Hughes Crab Moguls, and remained there until the Depot closed in May 1968 when it was withdrawn after 32 years service. The water column seen is still in place at the end of the GCR headquarters.
