It is roughly four years since the iconic 'HST' sets were removed from frontline passenger duties to and from London Paddington, being replaced by the fleet of Class 800 IET 25kV EMUs. Now in the twilight of their long careers, Class 43/0 No. 43042 'Tregenna Castle' leads classmate No. 43009 'Nunney Castle' through Patchway while powering the 12:00 Cardiff-Taunton local service on a sunny 31st January 2023.
