Probably the first sighting of a TransPennine Express train in the Burton area (south of Stenson Junction) occurred on 17th May 2023 when TPE-liveried DRS Class 68 No. 68023 'Achilles' worked the 16:08 Sheffield to Crewe empty stock working (operated by ROG) towing a TPE Mk5a coach set, which passes Clay Mills.
