NSW Class 47 Co-Co 1000HP diesels were built by UGL Rail in 1972 and initially used on branch line services and transferred to use on coal trains in 1982. Withdrawn by 1990 several examples were purchased by Lachlan Valley Rail Freight including No. 4702 and 4708 seen at Sydney Central on 20th April 2023.
