Ipswich used to have an allocation of Class 03 shunters, their light loading being required to work the lower goods yard and dock sidings accessed by a weak bridge over the River Orwell, located by the home signal to the right of the loco. No. 03060 is shunting grain wagons, no doubt associated with the harvest of cereal crops just beginning in the rural surroundings of the town on 29th July 1976.
