The two rack railways up the Rigi mountain converge at a brief plateau area on the border of adjacent Cantons with a station at Rigi Staffel. The red train No. VRB21 from Vitznau (Luzern) and the blue No. ARB 15 from Arth (Schwyz) are in service on 23rd June 1992. The two railways continue in the foreground on their separate but parallel ways to the summit at Rigi Kulm while Lake Lucerne spreads out some 3000 feet below.
