Pathfinder Tours' Cwm and Glo excursion of 9th March 2024 took in the Uskmouth and Cwmbargoed branches as well as a number of loops in South Wales. The tour started at Burton-on-Trent and was worked by DB Class 66/0 locomotives Nos. 66070 and 66050 throughout.
Here No. 66050 leads the tour on the climb towards Cwmbargoed as is passes the site of the former Nant-y-ffin drift mine. The tour reversed not long after this, and before the Network Rail limit.
