FO Class Deh4/4 heads for the Furka Base Tunnel as it departs from Oberwald in the upper Goms Valley on 10.32 Brig-Goschenen on 21st February 1994. One of the car shuttles which operate through the tunnel between Oberwald and Realp awaits loading on the left.The Furka Base Tunnel opened in 1982 and so allowed continuos operation on the FO which previous was closed in winter between Gletsch and Andematt.
