BR Class 55 Deltic No. 55007 'Pinza' is seen at Newcastle on 10th July 1977 in charge of a Merrymaker Railtour from Chesterfield. Having travelled up the East Coast mainline, it has just uncoupled from its train to run round and travel on to Carlisle then down the West Coast mainline to Carnforth. It then went via Hellifield and the Aire Valley line back to Chesterfield.
