On the 15th February 2025, Brush Class 31 No. 31018 / D5500 is seen on display in the new hall at Locomotion, Shildon. No. 31018 / D5500, is an AIA-AIA, built for British Railways by Brush Electrical Engineering Company at Loughborough in 1957 and was withdrawn in July 1976. As D5500, it was the first locomotive built under the 1955 Modernisation Plan.
