On the 11t July 2025, Northern Class 156 No. 156478 departs from Stockton station forming the 12.56 Northern service from Hexham to Middlesbrough. The final leg from Middlesbrough and Nunthorpe being cancelled, due to a signal failure. Waiting to depart in the station is classmate No. 156490 with the 14.32 Northern service from Middlesbrough to Hexham, which should started from Middlesbrough for the same reason.
