To reduce the lineside fire risk, the Watercress line has been restricting steam to an Alresford to Ropley shuttle in between diesel hauled trains over the full route. On 21st August 2025 Ivatt tank No. 41312 and two Bulleid coaches have just passed Bishops Sutton crossing on the climb up to Ropley.
