Tuesday 3rd August 2010, not a site you see every day, a 73 on the Midland Main Line. No. 73138, having been overhauled at Derby is observed just south of Ratcliffe on Soar power station, Notts, heading 0Z73 the 1008 Derby RTC to Selhurst light engine move. The loco took 31602 with it as insurance, it's trip to Selhurst is believed to be to test it's 3rd rail capabilities and the pair are due to return to Derby on Thursday 5th August. At 12.47hrs the pair are running 2 hours late, patience is a virtue. Picture taken on 3rd August 2010.
