On Saturday 22nd March 2014 the first public through train from Gloucester to Parkend since 1927 was jointly organised by the Dean Forest Railway and First Great Western. FGW provided Class 150/2 No. 150244 and having arrived from Gloucester, operated a number of return trips alternating with the DFR's resident DMUs before returning to Gloucester. Here, the 1000 Gloucester to Parkend service crosses Harbour Road level crossing as it leaves the DFR's Lydney Junction station. In the distance is resident Class 27 No. 27066
