On the evening of the 21st April 2023, Class 55 Deltic No. 55022 / D9000 'Royal Scots grey' approaches Darlington 100 minutes late with a private rail charter from London King's Cross to Edinburgh.
The consist comprised the ScotRail Push / Pull set, with DBSO No. 9707 immediately behind No. 55022 and Class 90 electric No. 90001 'Royal Scot' at the rear.
