This is the 11.05 Cross Country service from Edinburgh to Plymouth, which left Edinburgh 90 minutes late on 28th May 2023, formed of Class 43 powercars Nos. 43357 and 43285. The late running resulted in the service missing out the normal stop at Darlington Bank Top station and instead the train passed on the 'Up Main' on the outside of the station, as seen here. In a further attempt to reduce the late running , the train missed out the stop at Leeds, travelling direct from York to Sheffield, via Doncaster, by which time the deficit had been reduced to 47 minutes late.
