LNER Azuma Class 801/2 No. 801225 now carries 'Eleanor' vinyls at one end depicting, the cartoon character used in a current LNER advertising campaign. On the 14th February 2024, it was booked to work: the 08:00 LNER Azuma service from London King's Cross to Edinburgh. However, this service was cancelled at Darlington, due to a fatality on the line at Chester-le-Street, which resulted in the closure of the line. Services from the south were terminating in Darlington and No. 801225 came into platform 1. It returned to London King's Cross at 11:22 with the delayed 10:28 service from Darlington to London King's Cross.
