Having travelled up from Carnforth and via the S&C, due to engineering works on the WCML, on 25th May 2024, Stanier Black 5 No. 44871 and its support coach are seen approaching St. Nicholas Bridge, Carlisle, on the goods line to Bog Junction and Currock Junction, in order to reverse up to Citadel Station, prior to working the second leg of a Northern Belle charter. The train originated at Newcastle and was diesel-hauled to Carlisle, then again from Hellifield, running Leeds, York and Darlington.
