Passing under Little Hill footbridge, Wigston, Leicester, is EMR's Class 222 No. 222017, very shortly before this scene would change markedly as within a few months of this photo being taken, this section of the Midland Main Line was electrified to a point just beyond the bridge to the rear of the train. Class 222 units will of course soon also be leaving for work elsewhere, replaced by new 'Aurora' Class 803 IET DEMUs currently being built and tested.
