During 1994, in the dying days of Regional Railways, loco hauled trains were still operating with Class 37/4s on a daily basis on the Bristol to Weymouth line. However, the set was sent north to Crewe on afternoons and to allow for this 1130 Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff Central was also diagrammed for the set to get it over to South Wales first. During the autumn of 1994, the train concerned was in the charge of Class 37/4 No. 37408 with a uniform set of Regional Railways Mark 2s. 1994.
