The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) has sponsored a daily return journey from Holyhead to Cardiff and uses dedicated ATW liveried Class 57/3s and matching coaching stock. The service has been nicknamed 'Von Ieuan's Express' (Ieuan is pronounced Ryan without the R) as the Deputy Minister of the WAG is the Plaid Cymru Leader, Ieuan Wyn Jones, whose constituency is Ynys Mon, which includes Holyhead. On 16 June 2009 an unidentified Class 57/3 hauls the 05.33 Holyhead to Cardiff through Pontrilas, between Hereford and Abergavenny.
