The short branch between Oxenholme and Windermere has for the past few years received the quality of stock it deserves to carry holiday makers and upmarket commuters to and from the main Lake District town; this image taken on 2nd 2nd June 2013 shows a First Trans Pennine Class 185 No. 185114 about to depart from Oxenholme with the 15:23 service to Windermere. Note the stylish overall roof to this station providing shelter against the wind and rain for which this area is often noted.
