The signal box at Blakedown on 23rd August 2012. It is due to close as part of the Stourbridge to Droitwich re-signalling scheme which is due to be commissioned over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Originally named Churchill & Blakedown, the box was opened by the GWR in 1888 with a 22-lever locking frame. This was replaced in 1937 by a vertical tappet 5-bar locking frame, which in turn was replaced by a control panel in 1980.
