Celebrity English Electric Type 4 No. D326 between duties at Bristol Bath Road MPD on 9th September 1967. The loco was hauls the West Coast Postal on the night of 8th August 1963 and became famous for its part in the Great Train Robbery. It had experienced earlier misfortune when hauls The Midday Scot on 26th February 1962 and collided with the rear of a Liverpool Lime Street - Birmingham New Street train. The bad luck continued when, in 1964, a crew member was electrocuted when he came into contact with the overhead wires while working on the outside of the loco. In 1965, while approaches Birmingham New Street on a passenger service, it lost all brake power and was diverted into a platform where it was in rear end collision with a freight train and the guard was injured. The loco was new from Vulcan Foundry in December 1960, was withdrawn in February 1984 and cut up at Doncaster Works during April of that year.
