11th September 1971 and 'Warship' Class diesel hydraulic No. 806 'Cambrian' passes Exeter West Signal Box and begins the steep climb to Exeter Central with a service for London Waterloo. New from Swindon Works in June 1959 and first allocated to Laira (83D), it was withdrawn in November 1972 and cut-up at it's place of birth during May 1975.
