GWR 'Manor' Class 4-6-0 No. 7819 'Hinton Manor' at Kidderminster on 6th April 1985. Kidderminster Town station was opened by the SVR on 30th July 1984 and if this photograph were taken today, the loco would have been standing in front of the excellent Kidderminster Station Signal Box. New from Swindon Works in February 1939, it was initially allocated to Carmarthen MPD. The loco was withdrawn from Shrewsbury MPD in November 1965 and sent to Woodham's for scrap, arriving at Barry in May 1966. It remained there for 6 years and 8 months, leaving for Bewdley in January 1973. She was overhauled and returned to service in 1977.
