WR Class 22 diesel hydraulics No. D6331 and No. D842 'Royal Oak' bask in the sunshine at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 30th September 1969. They had a lot in common, both new from the North British Locomotive Company in 1960, both withdrawn during 1971 and both cut up at Swindon Works during March 1972. Tragically short working lives of 10 years 8 months and 10 years and 9 months respectively.
