Not far from closure, the scene at London Broad Street on 26th April 1985 with Class 416/3 2-EPB EMU No. 6316 stabled in Platform 2 and Class 501 630V DC 3-car EMU No. 178, made up of vehicles 75178, 70178 and 61178, preparing to depart from Platform 3 with a service to Richmond. Complete closure came on 27th June 1986 and the whole station was demolished by the end of that year.
