Brush Type 4 diesel electric No. D1675 'Amazon' awaits its next duty at Gloucester Horton Road MPD on 8th April 1969. It was new to Cardiff Canton (86A) from Crewe Works in April 1965 and later it became Class 47 No. 47089 under TOPS. While hauling the 14.32 Peak Forest - Bletchley stone train in February 1987, it ran away at Chinley North Junction and was in collision with Class 31 No. 31440 on a passenger service. Both locos were considered to be beyond economic repair and were subsequently withdrawn. It was removed to Buxton MPD and withdrawn from Crewe Works in June of that year, being cut up by Coopers Metals of Attercliffe during March 1989.
