Recent re-fencing work on Hungerford Common by NR has had the effect of opening up for the time being this view of the lunchtime Whatley Quarry to Churchyard Sidings loaded stone train with a Class 66/0 No. 66129 back on the turn on 3rd May 2016 after a Class 59/2 substituted at the end of last week. Sad to see the iron stanchion made from broad gauge Barlow rail replaced by a less enduring and endearing timber structure.
